Subject: LP Tank questions
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

I have a 1990 Synchro Westy with the original tank and single stage regulator. My regulator doesn't regulate anymore, which is apparently the reason why my refrigerator doesn't refrigerate anymore either. In addition, the valve on my LP tank sometimes leaks a little when it is closed.

Is it still possible to find the single stage regulator, or do I have to switch to a two-stage one? How much modification is required for the plumbing? Is it possible to repair or replace the valve, or would I be better off just getting a rebuilt unit? Any thoughts or suggestions?

Also, is there a larger capacity tank that bolts in place of the original tank? I hate having to pay for the 5 gallon minimum that many places charge for filling a tank, especially when I never need more than 2.5 gallons. However, I don't want to go through elaborate modifications to make a larger tank work.

Susan
