THe rear CV all seam to come with band clamps for the inner axis side of the boots these days. When they were made, they did not have these. One day after installing new boots I looked under to inspect my work and found one of the boots blown up like a balloon. This was caused by the air inside heating up and expanding, having no way to excape. One wrong bump, when the boot is in this condition and it blows out. All new CV joint boots I install I throw away this clamp. This give the boot a place exhaust heated air, if this should happen again. Eric
