I wire my switched input for the radio to the input to the heater fan.  This
only comes on when the key is on plus it is very close by.

I need help or suggestions on how to wire my new stereo.  The OEM radio was
installed to be played without having to have the key in the van.  So my
question is how should I wire the new system. The Yellow memory wire and the
Red pos wire?

Original Heidelberg (Panasonic):

Red (+) pos always on
Brn (-) neg
Grey/Blue (dimmer)
White/Blue (switched power? For antenna/amp)

New Kenwood KDC-217:
============================
Red (+) Ingition
Black (-) neg
Yellow (+) Battery - Memory
Blue/White (switched power for antenna/amp)
