Thanks for the suggestions, Sam. I am indeed running either mann or mahle filters, but will be sticking with dino oil for a few more k-miles as my engine finishes settling in (i have about 3k on it now). The click is a persistant tapping, though, which is what prompted the question. I am familiar with the startup tick, but this is different.

I have also been running the oil closer to the minimum mark on the dipstick, as the oil seems to run cooler that way (i think in large part due to the increased stroke). I still need to get an oil temp gage hooked up to know exactly what is going on there, but should be relatively independent of my constant lifter noise.
