I looked at the site Alistair suggested ... and you're right. It ain't easy, not by any stretch of the imagination.

I have a quote from a Vanagon specialist for doing the work ... he is well aware of the problems ... what I thought was a very expensive quote suddenly seems very reasonable indeed!
