I heard 75 hp for the version put in 75-79 VW buses. The version of the same engine installed in Porsche 914s was rated at 90 hp, I think mostly due to a higher redline.

For comparison, a 1.6L normally-aspirated diesel, as installed in '82-'83 diesel Vanagons, is 48 horsepower. ;)
