I have a South African 5 speed in my Wolfy which has a 4.57 R&P and a 0.82 5th gear. At 4000 RPM the speed is 80 MPH (vs 73.3 MPH with a stock 091) with 205/70/14 tires.

I also have a Subie 2.2 engine which develops peak HP at approx. 5200 RPM (102 MPH) and redlines at 6400 RPM (128.5 MPH). Needless to say I wouldn't even try to redline it in 5th. Scary thought!
