Dear Listees: I talked to the owner (Steven) about this van last night. He asked me to relay to the List that this van is no longer on the market, for several reasons:

1. He didn't really give much thought about the details of selling the van (especially pricing), before advertising it, and is overwhelmed with price offers / bids, and e-mails from over 30 people.

2. The van has been refinanced and is collateral for a larger loan amount; he has no additional money to pay the loan off, and therefore cannot get the title from the credit union.

3. He has already received a deposit check from a Canadian couple, and has his hands full dealing with them in regards to point # 2 above.

BTW, Steve described the van thusly: Maroon exterior, 146K miles, one year on rebuilt motor that he overheated last month (broken hose, coolant now leaking from head bolts), van was in Chicago most of it's life, and has "some rust" (Steve is from Greenbay, WI, so consider his rust description accordingly), namely hole thru body panel above the propane tank, and two holes somewhere around rear bumper / rear valance. As further indication to the condition of this van, a local (in)famous repair shop / wrecking yard actually declined to replace the engine with a used one for about $1000 (after he paid to tow the van about 100 miles there), because they didn't think the van was worth it! (Yes, the shop refused to take his $$$ money!!!). In case anyone is still(!) interested at this point, and want to push the issue, I have additional information. P-mail me.

Cary
