George, Before suggesting anything as radical as dumping the archives, perhaps we should suggest organizing the truly useful posts in a logical format.

I have built a website to store and index these posts and call upon anyone who has collected the good ones to get in touch with me so they can be saved for all to reference easily.

If you have not already done so, go to http://www.vanagonauts.com (formally and still vw.upnorth.net)and have a look.

Any thoughts and suggestions would be most welcome.
