Subject: My 86 Syncro for sale in WA
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Hello everyone

I am selling my '86 Vanagon Syncro in the Tacoma, WA area. On my way driving out from Jersey City, NJ something happened (I do not know what) in Missouri resulting in a large hole being blown through the top of my engine block. The van cranks but does not start. I can't tell you what happened or the extent of the damage. It appears that some of the wiring housing and other plastic parts melted during this incident. In short, the engine according to a local mechanic is completely useless.

The Syncro has a little over 200 K miles but I'm not sure of the exact mileage. The transmission was working fine and everything else was in order. There was an electrical short of some type in the headlights before leaving but I bypassed the problem with some Hella lights installed on the front bumper (these are not included in the sale unless I am paid for them). All in all, the van is in "ok" shape. The body is blue in color and has some dents here and there. Although it is not hideous it is not going to be winning any shows. The interior is worn but usable.

I am looking for the best offer for this van so if you are interested or have any questions please private mail me and I will respond to everyone. I do not want to scrap this van b/c it is a Syncro after all and I'm sure someone can put it to better use.

Hello to Kevin the multi-Syncro owner whom I met on the way out here in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Thanks everyone. John Connors 1986 Syncro Previously of Jersey City now of Tacoma, WA
