Subject: Where do jumper cables go on an 87 westy?

I apologise about the caps lock, but I have drained my battery twice in the past few months. The first time I bought one of these thermoelectric cooler chests and found out that the battery will not keep it going for two days, duh I sort of knew that.

I then had to recharge my battery and it is under the passengers seat with a screwed on cover that you cannot get at without rotating the seat 45 degrees!

Last night I left my lights on for 10 hours by mistake and had to get am jump start. This time I knew the drill. the question is: Is there a correct way to jump start a 87 vanagon without going through all this?
