Subject: Rust Repairs
Content-type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

I am looking at 2 Bodyshop quotes for seam rust repair. Our '87 Westfalia has a small spot on left rear quarter panel that may be from the inside, some seam rust at the front seams on the same side and a small bubble by the camper hook ups.

One quote is for a Minimum of $560 and a high of $800 based on what they find when they open up the left side. The other quote is similar at $992.00

If we get this fixed, will it solve the rust problem? Should the interior camping stuff be pulled to go after it? Should I have the Bus rustproofed after the work is done?

The Bus is not driven in the winter here in Northern Indiana much and is a 3rd vehicle. Also, the rust is not a large problem. (Yet.) the bus is in very nice shape for an '87 and well taken care of. Any comment appreciated.
