Subject: Want to learn more about the engine itself.
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII

I have 2, 1.9 litre engines that are not in vanagons. One leaked coolant around the head. The other I was told ran?

I have one in a Vanagon that pressurizes the cooling system and busts weak parts. It also causes the oil light to flicker when idling.

I'd like to tear down the engines that are out and learn how to rebuild them. This would be a learning process and if it costs as much as having someone else do it, I think I'll pass. But if it's less and I can learn something great.

Can someone point me to a web site or a vendor that can start me through this.

I do have Bentley and some other books.
