Don't give up on VW vans! If you can afford to, buy another and
(repeating whst screeds of others have said) replace the fuel line
with ONE-PIECE high-pressure line (delete the fracture-prone plastic
fitting in the line where it passes into the engine compartment).


A Subaru conversion would be great, but the fuel line would still
need the same attention!
