I have had my eyes on a donor car for my syncro for a couple of years.
I have been wanting to do a inline 4 conversion, but few days ago a
friend gave me his 88 Audi 80 quatro.  Mechanically it is in good shape,
engine has good compression and is clean.  It is an audi 5 cylinder.  I
remember years back these were all the rage in the engine conversion
world. Are their kits still available to fit these in the vanagon. I was
going to take a look at the archives but they seem to not be working at
the moment.  If someone could point me in the right direction it would
be appreciated.
