The "valve" is above the spare. Mine's leaking and I get some heat in summer. When I reach up in there and push real hard on the lever that the "other" end of the heater cable (PN 251 265 473 A) handle is attached to that sticks out of the front of the dash. My valve probably needs replacing. The "left of the glovebox" reference may be to the 2nd up from the bottom of the 4 levers. That lets outside air in and when the 2nd down from the top lever (heater) is open, slid to the right, hot air flows in. Otherwise even with the heater cable slid right not much hot air flows in. Not sure which of these is the correct valve: Heater Valve $116.00 1147412019 Heater Valve $77.65 1147412037 Both off the busdepot site. Bob
