Some of these comments are bordering on "Bah, Humbug" !

Sure , lets reject excessive consumerism and some of the other excesses.
Lets take time to be with friends and family, catch up with news, do some
overdue honey do's, wash the van even.   Lets slow down, put our feet up, take time
out of the hustle and bustle.  Life tends to be so full and busy we sometimes
forget the more human  things.

Lets remember the season and the reason for the season and participate in
moderation.
