Subject: Single relay kit arrived... now what?

My Bus Depot single relay kit arrived. The instructions leave a bit to be desired, especially for someone of my electrical capabilities.

Here's what I want to do, and if anyone has any straightforward advice on how to do it I'll take it:

I have a diesel with the main battery back by the engine.

When I got the car, there was a crummy second battery setup under the rear seat. Don't like the way it's wired into the main battery circuit, but that could be improved.

I want to add a second battery to isolate my camper stuff from the main battery.

I would like to put the auxilliary battery under the drivers seat because it seems much simpler to put it near the existing hookup for all the camper stuff.

If so, what do I need to do to put this relay in place, and where do I add the battery cables?

If I should put the battery somewhere else, how do I get it wired into the camper stuff?

Anybody have any good advice on how to hook up a second cigarette lighter in the rear?

I'll warn potential respondees that an answer like "hook the relay into the equipment side of the ignition circuit" won't help me, it has to be on the level of "start with the two red wires going into the connector leading to your camper stuff under the seat..." : )

Thanks in advance,

Jim
