Subject: Vanagon vs. SUV--Repaired!

I'm happy to report that my 87 is repaired and back on the road this morning. Insurance co. did not total it, though my body shop person told me they were leaning in that direction. I didn't know that new grills had a larger VW logo in the middle. Anyway, she looks really good now, and ready to go camping at an upcoming antique tractor show in Tulare. Thanks for everyone's advice re repairs, etc.
