Subject: Upper Control Arm Bushings... Help.... Please
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Hi All,

I got a set of upper control arm bushing (UCAB) from Ron at Bus Depot. I remove the A-frame and grind off the tack weld. Pressing out the old UCAB was difficult and then installing the new ones was even more difficult and the in the process the one of the new one cracked.

1) Is this normally that difficult?

2) Being that difficult I wonder if they need to be re-tack welded?

3) Should I heat the arm up (i.e.: 450 deg over for 20 minutes)?

TIA

Jere
