I have a 90 carat w/ power door locks. Recently, the rear hatch has become stuck locked. When I lock the van from one of the front doors, the front two and slider will lock as normal, but the motor in the hatch keeps running, as if it's "trying" to lock it. The only way to make it stop is to unlock the doors. The key will not open the hatch directly either - it turns vertically/horizontally as normal, but it remains locked in either position (the buttom will depress completely w/ out resistance). Any ideas on what could be wrong and how to go about trouble shooting this? I was going to try and look at it today, but I had problems removing the interior vinyl panel (I assume that's how to access the lock?). I pulled REALLY hard on the button fasteners, but they just seem to be deforming and it looks like I would wreck them all during removal. Advice would be much appreciated... I need to do some other work on the van, and I sure don't want to do it from the inside! Thanks. James 90 Carat |
