John, when I did this on my '91, after taking the 2 bolts off the face of the drum, I simultaneously pried with a screw driver and hit the drum front and then rear edge, and the drum literally jumped off into my lap. I lodged the screw driver between the inside edge of the drum and the steel dust plate and pulled the handle of the s/driver toward me while banging with the hammer. You may not need that much effort to get yours off.
