Yesterday I saw a blue 90 Vanagon in the parking lot almost identical to mine. We are located in Ames, Iowa about 30 miles north of Des Moines.

While looking it over the owner arrived. Turns out he is selling it. The body looks good, no damage. Paint is chipped in the front and there is the normal rust next to the driver's door and a bit on the bottom of the side windows.

Interior is nice, gray. There are two individual rear-facing seats and the bench seat in the back.

It has 115,000 miles on it. The owner said everything was in good shape including the A/C.

There may be a small leak in the rear heater but he has not investigated.

He and his wife are both engineers so they should be fairly good about how they have treated the van. They are dedicated VW folks as they have a newer Eurovan which is the reason they are selling.

For those following the FS items, can you give me some idea of what this Vanagon is worth? He is not on the list but I will pass along the info.

Thanks,

Herb
