Subject: clutch problems
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

About 1,000 miles ago I could not shift with the engine on. I replaced the master and slave cylinder and had a shop replace the clutch. Everything worked fine for a while, now if I start the car in neutral I can not shift into any gear. If I start the car in gear it lurches forward for a second and then the clutch breaks free from the flywheel and driving is normal.

What is happening to the clutch? Is the shop that installed it at fault?

I am driving to Shreveport, Louisiana tonight to attend the Missouri vs. Arkansas bowl game tomorrow. Hopefully the van will run fine.

Thanks for the continuing advice, Nathan 85 Westy

GO MIZZOU!!!
