Thanks to those who helped with the dash light
dilemna-
The problem was found in the number plate lights. One
of the bulbs was very loose. I cleaned and secured the
bulb, replaced the blown fuse- now the dash lights
work!
It seems that the dash lights (going out) act as an
indicator for a problem in the rear lighting of the
vehicle. Does this theory also apply to the rear
running lights or the brake lights? My reverse lights
are not working... could the reverse lights be related
to the dash lights? My guess is no, because as of
right now the dash lights work.
