hello everyone,

Here's the story.  I have a VDO oil pressure gauge
I've been using for about a year now...works great.
The factory high pressure oil switch is totally
disconnected and the wire is grounded.  The low
pressure switch is now part of the new VDO sending
unit.  It has an 8 psi threshold.  This also works
great.  If the oil pressure drops below 8 psi, the
light will blink, but no buzzer.  Today, the buzzer
and light started coming on when the engine revs to
about 2500 RPM.  The gauge reads about 45 psi at this
point.  Short of taking a 12 sledge hammer to the
instrument cluster, how do I make it
stop...permanently?
