HI: I have an 82' Vanagon Diesel and am have a bad time with the injection pump. The firsr one (from a running Jetta) started right up but as soon as you move the accelerator it would die. Followed all the standard Bosch trouble shooting procedures with no luck. Next pump (used but off a running vanagon) would not start at all! Removing the fuel lines showed it could not produce hardly any pressure. I have a used Jetta turbo pump still to try that I was saving for a future project but, wanted to check with the list first in case I forgot anything. I other thing all my pumps have in common is that they all sat for about a year. Also, when turning the pump by hand, should it turn easiely or hard? Thanks...Rex |
