> Im running 10w30- its in the 20s where I am at. the warning lite goes on at 2200 rpm. Brian, Try 10W40. I started to have oil light flicker with 10W30 this summer (91 vanagon)and switched to 20W50. Problem went away. This winter I switched to 10W40 and have not seen the dreaded oil light flicker even after driving for a couple of hours. We have mornings below zero F. here in Northern Michigan and I have had no trouble starting. I plan to switch to synthetic oil in the spring. Good luck, John Meeks Top of Lower Michigan 91 Westfalia MultiVan Vanagon Rescue Squad http://www.vanagonauts.com?catid=74 |
