I had the same thing and seem to have stopped it by doing two things, and I have no way of knowing which. But they're both easy.

First, clean the rubber seal where it contacts the door. Scrub it with a kitchen scrubber and armorall. Wax the body where the seal contacts it. If there's any dirt or crud between the two, then you don't have a seal.

Secondly, find the crack at the bottom of the window where the rubber (almost) butts together and fill it neatly with silicon glue.

No more wet rear pad for me.
