its been discussed a while back, using some form of contact cleaner and dielectric gel to make good contacts between sensors, ecu connectors etc. Stabilant 22 was mentioned, I think, as a VW approved and sold solution. I just came across this on www.macintouch.com in a discussion on poor ram contact to motherboard. "[James Botaitis] Todays MacInTouch has a bit on Stabilant 22... I just wanted to confirm that it is a fairly awesome product for improving conductivity BUT strongly remind users to read the safety information, wear gloves or at the least, wash their hands long a thoroughly after use. Once it has dried it's not so much an issue... just be careful when you are applying it in its liquid form Main ingredient 80% Isopropanol, 20% Polyglycol. I am not trying to scare people from its use - on the contrary - but new users should request and read the MSDS for the product before use. " I not as interested in the handling warnings as in the ingredients. I realise that polyglycol can come in a range of molecular weights, but it is a hint for anyone willing to make up their own version.
