In 1996, Tom Forhan took the effort to put together a group purchase of the older model Propex heater and I purchased and installed one in my van. I didn't want to lose all the storage space under the seat but was concerned with blockage of the unit. I purchased a heavy duty wire shelf and cut it and bent it to fit in the space over the unit. I now keep a few spare van parts (belts, etc) under the rack and put clothes, etc. above the rack. Works great and I have never had a problem. The unit still works as it did when purchased and it was a great addiition to the van. If anyone wants a picture of the rack and installation, let me know.
