Where was this fuel leak this first time?

I believe there is a problematic plastic piece that goes through the fire
wall in front of the engine. The rubber fule line is then clamped to each side of
this fitting. On my bus where the fuel line goes through the fire wall there
looks to be a home made piece of brass? tubing welded to a small tab
fabricated by the DPO. the tab is secured to the firewall with a screw and the rubber
hose is clamped to each side with regular hose clamps. This design seems a good
idea to replace the plastic piece without having to merely use a length of
rubber hose through the fire wall by itself which would seem to lead to the hose
being rubbed in the hole until it leaks.

Of course none of this answers to your problem, John. But I figured while the
discussion was open I pass on what I know.(which I'm constantly reminded
isn't much.)
