Make sure you get a rebuilt torque converter.  A lot of filth can accumulate
in the torque converter.  Rebuilding the transmission without rebuilding the
torque converter is kind of like washing your feet and then putting on your
old dirty socks.

Hey all...
I spoke with another listee about rebuilding an auto trans at home...
he is doing it and suggest that i can to. I have a lot of mechanical
experience...
but this is the first auto trans i have owned.. and it never even
dawned on me to do the rebuild myself.
How many people have done this? If so.. is there a good source on the
web for steps in doing so? I have the Bentley.. but sometimes the you
need a bit more than the Bentley to be clear on what you are doing...
So.. any thoughts.. experience?
