hey guys, been lurking here for quite a while and you guys have a lot of
knowledge and i would appreciate it if you caould help me wit a problem i am
having. I have a 1987 Vanagon GL 2.1 L 125,300 miles on it. now here is my
problem i aquired this van a while ago and she runs great. although i do
need to set the timing. any ideas? and my major problem is... My Van will
overheat... because the radiator fan wont kick in! It will turn on when i
turn on the air conditioning. but that is the only time.. is my thermoswitch
bad? (it is 16 years old afterall.. lol) and if im driving on the freeway
the van stays moderately cool so i know i have the system bled okay and
there is coolant in the radiator.. please help if possible ;) oh by the
way.. I live in Lander Wyoming.. (yes i know its the middle of no-where) I
am from Utah and am down there occaisionally..
