I have seen conditions [unsanded glare ice] where my van was all over if I didn't watch my speed, but there were all wheel drives in the ditch that day too. The rest of the time my 2wd '84 handles excellent with studded snows on the back and all seasons on the front. I pass many newer all wheel drives on the way to the ski area every week on a packed snow surface. I can push it until I just feel the rear trying to break loose and never feel like I'm going to lose it. Haven't had an accident in over 25 years in case you are wondering. Most of the roads, where I live up here in NE Washington, are 2 lane with 55 or 60 mph speed limit. Perfectly suited for this vehicle. I can tell that many drivers who find themselves behind me think thay are going to have to pass but soon it's "bye bye". I really like the way this van handles. Doug '84 Van-go www.Shirewood.com
