Why does this always come up here? Would you ask a mechanic to fix your computer when it has a problem? Would you ask your doctor about how to protect your privacy online? Yes, there may be several listees (or mechanics or doctors) who are knowledgable about such things. If you know them, ask them off-list.

Is the information important? Absolutely.

Is a VANAGON mailing list the place to hear about it (over and over again)? Absolutely NOT.

Please, take your pick of appropriate venues: http://directory.google.com/Top/Computers/Security/Mailing_Lists/

FWIW, several good newsletter-format subscriptions for things Windows related written in non-technobabble can be found at http://www.woodyswatch.com/
