I've got about 2,000 miles on my new Boston Bob and it purrs like a kitten. Can't say enough good things about it. Much more power than the tired old block it replaced, and it sounds great at speed -- in fact, I blame my new engine entirely for the following train of thought, which occurred to me as I was cruising out to western Mass. last weekend:

hey, this engine sounds great -> like a Porsche -> now I need an air-cooled for the collection -> Porsches were air-cooled until recently -> I should get an old Porsche!

Uh oh.
