Engine temperature will vary a lot. It would be nice if they ran at a constant temp. but not realistic. If you have a good gauge and can see it well, you can watch the temp. go up with every hill you climb, and down on the down hill. Now add to this a HOt summer day, AC on, sitting in traffic. Then the light turns green, you take a quick turn, on to the parkway, and up a BIG long hill. Foot to the floor for 3 minutes. In Pgh. this happens often. You can easily see a 40 deg. change with a water cooled Van. Air cooled.... I've seen them still running around 280 deg. definately not good. Eric
