This type of response by eBay is NOT uncommon. I had what appeared to be a fishy situation with some stuff I was selling on eBay last spring, including some Westy accessories. I reported the situation to eBay. They asked for more info, tracked it down and informed me of what they found (no problem, just looked that way) all within 48 hours.
