Hello All. I just had to reply to this message since this just happened to
me last week. I was outbid on a guitar amp by five dollars and found it
relisted the next day. With a little investigation, I was able to find that
the buyer had outbid me himself. I kept getting the automated responses, but
made sure ebay knew how pissed off I was about the situation. it only took a
couple of days and about three or four complaints, but I was able to get
this guy suspended (both Id's) for what I'm sure they took as a minor
infraction of the rules.

Which is why I mostly browse under linux, and I never trust emails from ebay
and the like.  I've sent quite a few notices to fraud at ebay myself.  And
they
generally do nothing about that stuff, by the way.  They really seem not to
give a s***.  Especially about frauds perpetrated by their sellers.  Ebay is
a
good place to buy, but treat it like it's a guy selling from the trunk of
his
car and speaking softly and you'll be a lot safer.
