Some good advice. And, if you happen to be using Apple's Mail application (and possibly others), you can 'bounce' messages at will, which essentially tells the sending server that you email address is not valid. I also use a service called SpamCop that sends nice letters to all of the sysadmins of the originating content. It seems to have worked too. I don't get a lot of spam anymore, and I only start using these devices when it starts to fill my inbox again.
