Subject: multivan / base camper interior
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

It looks like we'll be putting a pop-top on the carat later this year (yeah!) so in the mean time I'm thinking about interior possibilities. The pop donor is a 84 full westy w/ decent interior, but I'm not sure we'll really need it. My fav set-up would be similar to the multivan (jumps, side table, rear + rear side cabinet). But I have a few questions...

- if I went w/ the 84 interior will I have to reposition the rear seat pegs? Does the driver's side peg need to come out? - IIRC the base-camper rear seat is 3" forward of my carat's. Correct? This means that I'd have to move the pegs to put a base-camper interior in? - For those who've installed pop-tops and had the full tunnel AC -- what did you do? I'd like to keep AC in the van after the conversion.

thanks,

john
