I hope that car wash is connected to a sewer system and that the gas isn't going into the ground water. You should be happy you are not in jail. The crud will never disappear, it is caused by your tank corroding and falling a part. It will probably leak soon. Call Bus Depot for a new one.

Hey,

I got tired of cleaning out the filter every 100 miles. A couple of times I had to pull it every couple of blocks. Finally the outlet clogged and that was it. (I knew the outlet was clogged because the filter was clean - but the fuel pump was groaning loudly.)

So I pulled the tank the third time - and headed over to the car wash <again> to clean the tank out. After $5 in quarter, I was still getting solid crud out of the tank.

So, I took it home and looked around - and spied a jug of industrial Johnson&Johnson floor cleaner. Put that in there, and let it sit overnight. Took it back to the carwash, and was able to get everything out. The floor cleaner liquified all the crud and it was much easier to clean. The inside of the tank looked beautiful by the way.

Hopefully I am done cleaning out the tank - the fuel pump is super quiet now. Unfortunately now I have the no-idle problem to figure out.

Conrad
