the biggest advantage i've seen to LED brake lights is that the light is bright and equal all the way across the tail light. next time you get behind a truck or car at night, and they hit their brakes, notice how the brightness fades as you go away from the bulb (in the center) toward the edges. that doesn't happen with the LED lights ... the brightness is equal from center to sides. makes it a whole lot easier to see from farther away.
