A few minutes ago I received all the messages from this list which I stopped receiving about 10:30 A.M. yesterday. Guess I'll never understand cyberspace.

Now, for what I needed to post yesterday: My automatic transmission rebuild is going well, though slowly. I've had several delays waiting for additional parts or, in one case, waiting for the correct part to be shipped. I'm glad I undertook this job since I don't mind taking the time to get all the details right.

Yesterday I discovered that I have a broken diaphragm spring in the forward clutch. It was too late to check with Makco where I bought the rebuild kit. They did not stock the planetary I needed, but they might have this spring.

BUT, if they don't, does anyone have any source ideas? Any of you have one for sale? Is this something the dealers can still get? Would the dealer route take six months? Inquiring rebuilders want to know.

TIA

Jim Huskins Spruce Pine, NC
