Subject: tough running after gas tank R&R
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hello all, Last week I replaced the gas tank in my 86 due to the fuel return inlet pipe cracked at the tank. I installed a used tank but cleaned it thoroughly before installing. Replaced both fuel filters and it ran perfect for 3 days now at highway speeds is surges and bucks. It will idle perfect while sitting still. Fuel pump has a high pitched whine. Were should I start? Check fuel filters or fuel pump or both, I don't want to do either since it's 5F outside. Thanks, Marcus
