Subject: Fuel Line Fire Wall Fitting
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

Well, I have been trying to deal with a fuel leak, and found that what has happened is the fuel tube from thefuel pump has slipped out of a short rubber hose (3 in.), that is mounted on the nipple sticking out fom the firewall. I have tried repeatedly to get that tube back into the short piece of rubber hose to no avail.

So, is there any reason anyone can see against the idea of hooking the fuel injection line directly to the end of the fuel tube. This would save a lot of time. The fuel line would not pass through the fire wall, but rather, underneath. This would eliminate that silly fitting through the fire wall.

Regards,

John Rodgers Chelsea, AL
