If anyone tries this, be Very Very Careful not to plug into outside power with the inverter still connected. You'll destroy the inverter instantly.

Commercial RVs that have generators often have the generator power a single outlet inside the cord compartment, which you then plug the regular RV cord into, so the RV can't be physically connected to both the generator and outside power at the same time.
