Have you replaced your temp II sensor? You're describing the symptoms I had a while back. The TII sensor fixed everything.

Hi,

So, the new coil did make things run better. I did find a vacuum leak which fixed the cold start symptom. Now If I start it up first thing in the morning it starts easily and runs well. If I warm up the engine, then turn it off - it starts back up easily. However, if I then turn it off and wait - the rest of the day it does not start up easily, and runs poorly. (I am getting good voltage to the start, as it turns over very fast.)

I can disconnect the O2 sensor (new) and that makes no difference. Neither does disconnecting the Cold Enrichment Switch (new). So, I have to rule those out. The Idle Stabilizer also checked out fine in my earlier troubleshooting. (New coil, new plugs, grounds checked, etc.)

This morning, after going through this again. I disconnected the AFM and ECM (then waited and then plugged back in) and it did start up easily, but ran poorly. Then after the engine stalled, it would not start up again.

I'm thinking that the AFM is wacked out. I'm going to try and pull it today but just wanted to make sure that somebody else hasn't had this symptom.

Conrad
