I offer a window crank handle extension kit that brings the handles out far enough to clear most speakers (with a black plastic sleeve so they still look cosmetically good). At about $20 for the pair, this may not be as cheap as finding handles for another car a junkyard that might work. But it will save you the time/hassle of rummaging through junkyards, or shopping every store in town for thin-profile speakers (which may cost $20 more anyway, or not sound as good).
